"Be happy, play nice, live life."
--My mommy
Did anyone else get a going-off-to-college card from their parents? I sure as hell did. The front of the card dons an empty birdcage, door swung open.
They also gave me a fish. A plush toy fish. Not an actual fish.
The fish has a story. They received it at a business seminar based on the "Fish Philosophy." (I'm not sure if that link will work; it's being mean to me.) It's moreso a business/marketing concept, but before they ran off to work this morning, they told me the key points: play, be there, make their day, choose your attitude.
May the funk be with you.
College!
Welcome one, welcome all, WELCOME to the official "Let's get out of High School as soon as humanly possible!" blog. This blog was formerly known as "Future Cougars of America," but as the college admissions process winds down, it's probably more beneficial to us all if we open this up to everyone as a general college blog. So enjoy, damn it! :-)

Ironically enough, Brett, we learned about the Fish philosophy at RYLA... we also watched the second edition, aptly titled Fishsticks. Clever, eh?
