Poor Morris blog, no one is writing in you. *guilt trip* :-)

Though I'm SUPER-EXTREMELY-MEGA-AWESOME-TOTALLY-GINORMOUSALLY excited for college, I still second guess myself all the time. I feel like CHS has some how cheated me out of a secondary education. Granted, I have a voluptuous blogging life b/c I don't have much homework, and I haven't tried to kill anyone because I'm so incredibly busy... but still. *pouts* Why can't I be an overworked, nuerotic, genius child too?

So General Chemistry scares the shite out of me, if you care. I wonder if I'm actually learning anything in Chemistry now... should I be studying over summer break? *TWEAK*

I'm going to a skating banquet now... perhaps that will calm my nerves.

*DOUBLE TWEAK*

Hey, Cougars! I've blogged about my UMM registration experience on my regular blog, so you can check it out there. I'm too lazy to copy and paste anything. If you have any specific questions, they can be voiced to me... b/c that's just as easy.

They made me chancellor!

I will most certainly relay any info to the cult upon my return on Thursday evening. I'm really excited to go... though I think I'm going to be taking a Spanish placement test. Brettness, you said you were pulling answers out of your ass? Ha, watch me fabricate an entire language on Thursday! *sigh*

I would love to write you a letter of recommendation, Sir Brettness. As well as Madam Lequicia, if she's around. Hello? Hello?

The rain in Spain falls mainly on THE GROUND,
Manda

Yes Manda, it's true, the world is not out to get you. I hope you use those five dollars wisely.

You should tell us how your registration festivities go on Thursday. Maybe you'll have tips, such as, "Don't wait in the Pet Registration line when you don't have a pet," or "Make sure you register for classes while you're there." Throw us a bone.

I think I'm going to skip the GFWC Scholarship, considering I don't know two people that are not school-related and can create compound sentences who could write me letters of reccomendation. Seriously. Who? I guess there's my music bud, but he's moreso my friend than anything. But maybe that's good...? Anyway, who else? Exactly. Maybe Manda could write me a letter. Maybe we should all write the other a letter of rec... for good measure. *falls asleep*

I found out today that you don't need to actually transfer your transcript from UMC to Morris (PSEO or CIHS). Since it's all in the U of M family, they already have it in the system. Hurrah! This discovery o' mine might make me a moron, but hey, I just saved myself five dollars! Good enough for me.

Is anyone else applying for the GWFC scholarship? It's due next week Thursday, and I don't know if I want to round up two non-school related letters of recommendation and an essay explaining why I deserve this scholarship for $250. It's something, yes... but maybe I could use that time to, you know... collect my sanity, perhaps? I have that $5, you know. Could be put towards something... pretty.

I rush home afterschool just so I can get out of the hell hole that is more commonly referred to as "high school," and if some pleasant Morris mail happens to be waiting for me, all the better.

Stupid self. Stupid UMC transcripts. Stupid lostness. Stupid procrastinationness. Grrrrrrr.

Get a map,
Manda

I think I'm going to register on April 20th... Yeah, yeah, I should have tried to work out the one this week, but I figure I'll be a little less panic-ridden next month. Some lady from Morris called me last night and reminded me to get that done. Ten points for friendly service.

Does everyone else rush home after school to check their mail for UMM schtuff?

March 18, 2004

Mr. Guidance Officer Man stopped me in the office today and asked how the college thing was going. I realized I never told him I was going to Morris now, instead of LU, so I dropped the beans... and he just stared at me... but that's what he does all the time anyway... it was like he was thinking "Damn, if she would've gone to Lawrence I would've gotten a new pennant for the school... damn."

Valor and such,
Manda

*ALERT* Announcements yesterday afternoon (Monday 15th), the graduation-announced scholarship booklets are available in the main office, as well as some GFWC scholarship in the guidance office. Since we were all wondering when they would come out, I thought I'd be the first to break the story since I don't think either of you were in school to hear them...

One of the scholarships is specifically for students who have excelled in English, Foreign Language, and Fine Arts... *gulp* Why didn't I ever take up industrial tech?

I am the grammar fuhrer,

So I'm registered to register @ Morris on March 25th... anyone else?

Wild horses,
Manda

PS: Apparantly, my mother and I shall be staying overnight on the 24th in one of the Morris hotels... exciting?

Humph, why can I be around when anyone discusses film? The only thing I ever learn in school is how exactly Suzie got knocked up by Johnny when he was two-timing her for Regina.

But yes, I think that is tres awesome. I'm hoping I can avoide as much of the speech in Speech Comm... but I suppose I'm gonna half to learn, eh? I wanted to be a DJ too, but then I realized that I haven't exactly grasped the concept of discernable speech... so I'll stay behind the camera.

Put your arm down,
Manda

So, I just thought of something cool. We were talking about filmmaking/screenwriting/plot-coming-up-with-ing in my humanities class, and it got me thinking. Well, I know Manda is sorta a fan of the video camera, and Lequeica is sorta a fan of actressing. And me? I'm sorta a fan of artsy-fartsy-ism as well as music. My point here is this: we could be UMM's favorite filmmaking trifecta. Lequica could be the one-woman highlight. Manda would do filming, editing, and technical stuff. I would write crappy minimalist piano music, and maybe do some writing. It sounds like fun, I think anyhow.

No, I haven't signed up for a registration date yet. I don't really know what date to go. It might make sense if I just go down the same day you two do, but whatever. I'll figger it out. Peace.

Oooh--one more thing. I emailed the people at U-90 FM, UMM's radio station. I wanna have a radio show!

March 04, 2004

Hey bubsies. I hope you're feeling better, Lequicia. We're rooting for you. :-)

I got my registration, too. I've signed up for the 25th, and I can't really go in April or May, so I'm hoping I good to go. Are either of you going to that "Student for a Day" thing? I can't... Ice Show. :-( If you guys go, let us know how it went. :-) Tee hee, I can't believe I'm going to college with my two bestest friengs... the thought is so appealing. :-) Peace out, peace out.

Jan got spirit,
Manda

Hello my fellow future fierce felines. (two thumbs up for alliterations!)

I got the registrations thingee, as well, a coupla days ago. I don't know when I'll actually sign up for...but I'm leaning for March 25th. They all said that registering the earliest possible is best...so there. ;) I dunno...but I'll let you guys know when mother and I have reached a decision.

That's all folks.

Lequicia

Memo-random:
I got a little letter from Morris today, about registering for registering. I think the post-lady dropped it in the puddle, it's all wet. I thought it was amusing.

It's burning my skin!
