I can't believe it's already the last day of June. I'm not sure if I should be kinda depressed b/c summer is almost done or moderately excited b/c college is just around the corner! I guess it's kinda volitale to my spirit if I decided to go with either feeling, so I'll just look forward to getting paid tomorrow. My checking account is definitely depleating... and eBay isn't helping!
Mia sent another survey back to me today, and the last question was "What would you say about the person who sent this to you?" and she replied, "I can't wait to go to college, it feels really good to know that my room mate is awesome!!" *extreme blushing* I think everything's gonna work out alright for us. I might have too many posters to fit in our room, but I'll be damned if I don't try to fit all of them in there!
*giggle* I need to pay attention to my summer, though. There's a lot of people I'm not gonna see for awhile after classes start, and yeah. I need to remember that.
Lana's got the unique experience to compare two different schools' registrations. I'm very interested to hear how that goes down for you. You also have to report back to us any non-Crapsville familar faces that might pop up on campus, you know... since it's fun!
Girating is easy,

College!
Welcome one, welcome all, WELCOME to the official "Let's get out of High School as soon as humanly possible!" blog. This blog was formerly known as "Future Cougars of America," but as the college admissions process winds down, it's probably more beneficial to us all if we open this up to everyone as a general college blog. So enjoy, damn it! :-)

Hey, Morris finally emailed me back. I'm removed from my classes and apparently housing should be calling me about my assignment. Eep...I feel like a bad person. Ah well, thus is life and its consequences.
Registration day is fast approaching. NEXT WEEK BABY! Maybe I'll meet a dashing fellow freshman...maybe I'll end up signing up with my roommate and not even knowing it...maybe I'll get another "special edition" shirt, this time in puce! The opportunities are endless! ;) Am I excited? Pah! I'm ecstatic! I wanna sign up for my theatre classes! :D *happy dance* k...I'm gonna go before I pull something.

Hey, I finally emailed Morris to let them know I'm NOT coming. I feel like scum. I already was assigned a roommate and everything. Her name was Rebecca Rosckes and I liked that. Rebecca's a good name...I felt an I'm-not-a-skank-ho vibe from her name. Alas, I have made her and the school's life even more hell. *wilts* I hope they find her a roommate quickly...I'd feel really really bad if it took a hell of a long time. :S
In other breaking news, UND sent me a complimentary t-shirt! Yeah, it's a "special 2004 edition" just for us freshman. We're supposed to "wear it with pride." Yeah...it's white and has "University of North Dakota" in green scrawled across the chest. Wow, how...special. How many of those do you think they sell at the gift shop? ;) Oh yeah, it's also an XL for that one-size-fits-all feel. lol, yeah, I'm sure I'll be sportin' it with pride very soon. My bed will really appreciate the advertisement. Ah well, at least they're trying to show they love me? I'll keep telling myself that.

Yay, got an e-mail from my roomie today, I was very happy to hear from her. Her graduation went well, they had 300-plus kids graduating and the ceremony only took two hours. They're definitely more time efficient than we are, don't you think? She also said they there's a big school-sponsored senior party afterward, and it sounds a lot like our post-prom, only they had a *gasp* mechanical bull! Wicked, eh?
She also said she got her room assignment... so I'm hoping that mine comes in the mail here pretty soon. I'm awaiting like seventeen different items in the mail, the suspence is killing me! *giggle*
So, that's it for now. Summer is upon us. *adjust glases, lenses snap in two* DAMN IT!

I finally got my housing info sent off. Like both Manda and Mina, I selected both Indy and Clayton A. Gay as my res hall choices. Honestly, I really don't care. Either way, I know that I'm going to end up in a four-by-four foot room, sharing that space with a random smelly roommate.
My financial aid is on the fritz. I'm lazy. Bad combination. Apparently, I was selected for some 'verification process,' which amounts to, in my mind, just another form to fill out.
I am excited beyond reason. Morris is coming.

So... college shopping. Yeah, high school is done. That's great.
Honestly, kids, I'm just updating this sucker for the sake of updating it. There really isn't much to write about. I've opened about one jillion graduation cards since the middle of May, and I'll probably keep getting them until... well, my parents sent a card once over a year late... so it might be awhile. Perhaps before I get marr--oh, gee I'm not even gonna say that. It's good though... I hear fun stories about people my parents know... who I never even knew existed until they sent me a card. Go figure.
Mysterious rash,
Manda
